BLC x RBN
This morning (26th, 12 - 24), we visited Rumah Baca Nusa (RBN), a small haven for book lovers located in Desa Ganti, Praya Timur.

We were warmly welcomed by the management of Rumah Baca Nusa: Mr. Azmy, Kak Yola, and Kak Berlian. These three incredible individuals are deeply dedicated to managing this place, ensuring it becomes a meaningful learning space, especially for the younger generation in the community. Their enthusiasm made this visit a truly memorable experience.

Rumah Baca Nusa is not just a storage space for books but a literacy hub aimed at fostering a love for reading among the community, particularly the youth. It's diverse collection includes children’s stories, educational books, novels, and popular literature.

Strategically located in Desa Ganti, it provides easy access for local children to spend time reading. Beyond just offering books, Rumah Baca Nusa also regularly hosts discussions and workshops.

After the warm welcome, we were invited to explore the collection of books. The students were visibly excited, eagerly selecting books that caught their attention. The variety of colorful book covers kept them busy finding titles that matched their interests.

Reading
We, as tutors, accompanied the students during their reading sessions. It wasn’t just about reading, we also encouraged them to extract key points from the books they chose. This activity aimed to develop their comprehension skills and critical thinking.

Each student was given time to read and jot down interesting points from their chosen books. Following this, we held a brief discussion session where they shared what they learned and expressed their opinions about the content. This moment became one of the most engaging parts of our visit.

Reading

Beyond reading, we had the privilege of hearing stories from the Rumah Baca Nusa management. Mr. Azmi shared the story behind the establishment of this place. He felt compelled to provide access to books for the children in his village, recognizing the importance of reading in building character and expanding the knowledge of the younger generation.

RBN Management Team

The visit to Rumah Baca Nusa not only enriched the students of BLC but also provided us, as tutors, with valuable lessons. We realized the importance of collaboration in creating a supportive learning environment. Rumah Baca Nusa is a living example that limited resources are not a barrier to making a positive impact on society.

Through this interaction, we saw that reading is not merely a pastime but a way to instill positive values, broaden horizons, and ignite imagination. Students from BLC, who initially found reading dull, became more enthusiastic after experiencing the enjoyable atmosphere at Rumah Baca Nusa.

Following this visit, we hope to maintain a good relationship with Rumah Baca Nusa. We plan to conduct regular visits and invite the management to share their knowledge and experiences at Bee Learning Center.

This activity is not the end but the beginning of our small steps toward fostering a better reading culture. We believe that through books, we can open windows to the world, expand perspectives, and build a more intelligent and empowered generation.

This visit left a profound impression on us. We hope the reading enthusiasm we planted today continues to grow and spread, not only among BLC students but also within the wider community. Rumah Baca Nusa has taught us that reading is not just an activity, it is a journey to understand the world.

 BLC x RBN Relationship

Big thanks to the management of Rumah Baca Nusa, especially to Mr. Azmi, Kak Yola, and Kak Berlian.

BEC x Hamzanwadi University

Saturday, 21/12-24, we welcomed students from the English Department of Hamzanwadi University. Their presence was warmly greeted by the children at BLC, who appeared enthusiastic and full of energy.

The purpose of this visit was to share knowledge, particularly in English language learning. During this activity, the students not only taught but also motivated the children at BLC to gain more confidence in using English in their daily lives.

BLC Class

In the learning sessions, the students employed creative and interactive approaches. They began with brief introductions in English, encouraging the children to introduce themselves using simple sentences. The atmosphere became more lively when the students engaged the children in educational games that involved basic English vocabulary.

Additionally, the students provided lessons on proper pronunciation, tips for reading, and how to construct simple sentences. By incorporating a learning-through fun learning method, the children felt more at ease.

This activity benefitted not only the children at BLC but also the students from Hamzanwadi University. Through this teaching experience, the students learned to interact with children from diverse backgrounds, practiced patience, and honed their ability to deliver material in an easily understandable way.

BLC fun learning

The visit became a memorable experience for everyone involved. The children at BLC gained new and enjoyable experiences in learning English, while the students from Hamzanwadi University acquired valuable lessons in teaching and learning methods.

At the end of the activity, the children and students took group photos as a memento. They hoped that similar visits could be conducted in the future to sustain the spirit of learning and knowledge-sharing.

This event exemplified the spirit of collaboration between universities and local communities. May this good relationship continue to flourish, creating a generation that is intelligent, confident, and highly competitive.

ESN x BLC

Today is a special moment for us at Bee Learning Center (BLC) as we had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from Eco School Nusantara. The meeting was warm and full of enthusiasm, even though the weather was a bit drizzly. We exchanged visions and missions, and of course, BLC gained many valuable insights from our friends at Eco School Nusantara.

We shared stories about how BLC helps children improve their English skills and our future aspirations, while Eco School Nusantara shared their experiences in educating the younger generation to be more environmentally conscious.

Kak Muja also was there, the leader of Eco School Nusantara, who brought fresh ideas and energy regarding environmental-based education and sustainability. His presence enriched the discussion and broadened our perspectives on the importance of integrating environmental values into children's education. Kak Muja also provided insights into creative programs implemented at Eco School Nusantara, such as project-based environmental learning and community collaboration to create a broader impact.

This meeting provided many lessons for us at BLC. We are inspired to not only focus on academic aspects but also to build children's character to be more caring about the environment. This collaboration opens up opportunities to work together in the future, such as organizing joint activities that combine English learning and environmental awareness.

BLC Fun games

We hope this synergy continues and becomes the first step toward creating a generation that is not only intellectually smart but also empathetic and responsible towards the earth we live on.

Big thanks for our friends from Eco School Nusantara, especially Kak Muja, Kak Munzir, Kak Wahyu, and Kak Roy for their visit and inspiration. Let's continue to move forward together to create positive change through education.

In the midst of life's hustle and bustle, we witness the younger generation in this region facing tremendous challenges.

They grow with extraordinary enthusiasm but are often constrained by limited access to quality education, low literacy rates, and a lack of skills necessary to compete. Every day, they confront harsh realities: the difficulty of finding decent jobs and the inability to stand on equal footing with those from larger cities.

We cannot stand idly by as this immense potential goes to waste. They are our children, our siblings, our hope for the future. Despite their limitations, they continue to dream, even though, deep down, they may fear that those dreams might never come true.

This is why we exist. With sincere hearts, we are committed to being the bridge that connects them to a world of opportunities. We aim to be a home where they can learn, grow, and prepare for the future. Here, they will not only gain knowledge but also practical skills that will equip them to transform their lives.

We believe that great changes start with small steps—with the belief that every child in this region deserves to dream big and have equal opportunities. Together, we will open doors to a brighter future, empowering them not just as beneficiaries but as agents of change who bring progress to their families and communities.

Our Vision:
To become a leading educational institution that nurtures outstanding, globally competitive individuals with a strong sense of social responsibility to build their communities.

With the establishment of the Bee Learning Center (BLC), we hope to bring about real changes in the quality of human resources in our operational areas. BLC aims to be a center of education and empowerment that fosters social, economic, and cultural progress, while creating a future generation capable of competing nationally and globally.
